Undeniably God!

Have you ever seen the undeniable handiwork of God in this world?

I have read so many wonderful and awe inspiring stories of men and women who have experienced and seen God work miraculous wonders here in this world. Stories like this one about George Mueller:
"The children are dressed and ready for school. But there is no food for them to eat," the housemother of the orphanage informed George Mueller. George asked her to take the 300 children into the dining room and have them sit at the tables. He thanked God for the food and waited. George knew God would provide food for the children as he always did. Within minutes, a baker knocked on the door. "Mr. Mueller," he said, "last night I could not sleep. Somehow I knew that you would need bread this morning. I got up and baked three batches for you. I will bring it in."
Soon, there was another knock at the door. It was the milkman. His cart had broken down in front of the orphanage. The milk would spoil by the time the wheel was fixed. He asked George if he could use some free milk. George smiled as the milkman brought in ten large cans of milk. It was just enough for the 300 thirsty children.  (link to story
This particular story has been one that has stuck with me for quite some time. I have always thought wow, what if I could only witness miracles and faith such as this.  I also doubted though, I doubted that things such as this actually happened.

Over time, my faith has most definitely grown.  I have begun to ask for these miracles and I have begun to truly seek the God that provides.  I have begun to notice the every day miracles along with the WOW, that is really COOL miracles.  I have begun to give thanks for each and every one no matter how minuscule it might seem.  I now have faith that God will do His will in each situation! I have faith that He will provide according to His love, His mercy, His truth, His justice.  I do my best to believe no matter how contradictory it is to the world.

We just celebrated the greatest miracle of all time!  Jesus rose from His grave 3 days after being crucified for our sins!  I believe that this is true, it's the basis of my faith. Then why wouldn't I believe that God would provide food through a baker and a milkman to feed the children He created and loves so much that He sent His son to the cross for them!

On to a miracle that I am watching God work currently:  Over the last 3 weeks, the entire GLR community has been praying over a sweet family of 7, almost 8 that has been in our community for quite some time.  Because of some tough circumstances and all sorts of other stuff, CPS stepped in and removed the children from their mothers care. GLR has committed to love this family through each and every hurdle they must jump.  They are a part of our community, a part of our family.

Even before the removal, we began to pray, we began to seek miracles, we committed to doing whatever His will included to keep these kids and this momma in our family.  So the 2 weeks in between the removal and the court date, we prayed, we made phone calls, we dug for information and we made plans.  Most of all though, we asked God to do His will and if these kids were to stay close to the GLR family, they would.

God began strategically placing people in the right places to love this family. The court appointed lawyer for mom happened to be someone that lives in our own community and knows several of our families very well.  And 4 days before the hearing, God placed me in a room at a local church with a group of community members, to cast the vision and mission of GLR........guess who God placed in that room!!!!!

The very judge that would be sitting over this case!!!

This leads to the court date, we walked in knowing that there was a .05% chance that according to normal standards, etc.... that GLR would be allowed to take care of these kids while mom was working her services.  We knew that if this was going to happen, it would be God.  He would get all the glory for working out every key detail.  We(all the families helping with kids, our lawyer, and program director) spent many hours in the court that day and really thought from the conversations that we would be going home with a rescheduled court date so that CPS could do home studies etc with our families.  But, He had other plans.  The judge called us all in the courtroom and questioned us about GLR standards and policies, questioned the families that were willing to provide a loving home for these kids and all the lawyers involved etc.... AND then made a ruling that was unprecedented and 100% God's doing!  The judge ruled that the kids were to be returned to the GLR homes and that they would be treated as kinship homes.  That CPS would work the services with mom and that GLR would abide by the rules that they have asked.  VICTORY!!!! WE cried tears of JOY!!!!

You see we spent the last 2 years loving and praying for this family and we committed to doing it forever.  We hated that they might be outside of our reach.  GOD worked all the details out and He is continuing to write this story!  We have no idea what will happen and we are still praying for mom! And we are doing our best to provide a safe and loving place for the kids in the meantime.

GOD gets all the glory for this story!!!
