Why?

Why do we feel the need to believe that our beliefs are the one and only?
Why do we think we are RIGHT no matter what?
Why do we feel the need to publicly shame people when they don't agree with us?
WHY?????

This morning I am overwhelmed with the frustration in all of this!  I am frustrated with a world that feels like they need to push their own selfish agendas over human relationship and love!  I am sitting here literally hurting! No motivation to get out of bed or to go about my day....

This world needs JESUS!  Pick up your Bible and read the countless stories where Jesus LOVED above all else!  Love your neighbor people!!! not shame and humiliate!  There is not a single one of us that is perfect!  Jesus was the only sinless human that walked this earth. It seems to me, that we should do our best to learn from Him and His example.

We need leaders who will lead with LOVE, lead like Jesus did!

John 8The Message (MSG)

To Throw the Stone

1-2 Jesus went across to Mount Olives, but he was soon back in the Temple again. Swarms of people came to him. He sat down and taught them.
3-6 The religion scholars and Pharisees led in a woman who had been caught in an act of adultery. They stood her in plain sight of everyone and said, “Teacher, this woman was caught red-handed in the act of adultery. Moses, in the Law, gives orders to stone such persons. What do you say?” They were trying to trap him into saying something incriminating so they could bring charges against him.
6-8 Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger in the dirt. They kept at him, badgering him. He straightened up and said, “The sinless one among you, go first: Throw the stone.” Bending down again, he wrote some more in the dirt.
9-10 Hearing that, they walked away, one after another, beginning with the oldest. The woman was left alone. Jesus stood up and spoke to her. “Woman, where are they? Does no one condemn you?”
11 “No one, Master.”
“Neither do I,” said Jesus. “Go on your way. From now on, don’t sin.”

Matthew 22The Message (MSG)

The Most Important Command
34-36 When the Pharisees heard how he had bested the Sadducees, they gathered their forces for an assault. One of their religion scholars spoke for them, posing a question they hoped would show him up: “Teacher, which command in God’s Law is the most important?”
37-40 Jesus said, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence.’ This is the most important, the first on any list. But there is a second to set alongside it: ‘Love others as well as you love yourself.’ These two commands are pegs; everything in God’s Law and the Prophets hangs from them.”

This command seems pretty simple and self explanatory! I implore every one of you to stop and think before you act, say, post, text or do anything towards another person....ask, "Am I following this command?" If not, then don't do it!
None of us are ever going to agree on every little thing in this world, but if we could do these 2 commands, just think how much nicer this world will be!  We don't have to be right, we just need to LOVE!  Try to understand other people and their world.  Understand there is multiple sides to every story but ultimately we are all created in God's image!  We are all LOVED unconditionally by Him!
